Mark S. Finkelstein, DO, FAOC

Mark S. Finkelstein, DO has been appointed to the Delaware Authority of Radiation Protection as the Delaware State Osteopathic Medical Society representative (DSOMS).

A pediatric radiologist at Nemours/A. I. duPont Hospital for Children, he has served as the Director of Pediatric Interventional Radiology (2006 -2012) and currently the Director for the Divisions of Ultrasound and Nuclear Medicine. He was among the very first osteopathic physicians specialty trained and Board certified in pediatric radiology. He has served as a member and examiner for the American Osteopathic Board of Radiology (1999-2008); as well as its past President (2006-2008). He is an active member of the DSOMS and a fellow of the American Osteopathic College of Radiology (AOCR) In 2012, he received the Floyd J. Trenery Award for service to the osteopathic profession.

Dr. Finkelstein graduated from the University of Miami, FL with a BA in Political Science. He received his DO degree from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine (PCOM). After his internship at the Southeastern Medical Center in Miami, Florida, he returned to Philadelphia completing his residency in Radiology at PCOM (1981-1984) and his fellowship in Pediatric Radiology at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (1984-1986). Currently, he is an Associate Clinical Profession in Radiology and Pediatric at the Sydney Kimmel Medical College, Thomas Jefferson University, Philadelphia, PA.

He has written numerous articles and lectured nationally. Additionally he is a consultant to the States of Delaware, Pennsylvania and New Jersey for child abuse.
