Diane M. Andrews, R.N., Esquire, has been appointed to the Delaware Authority of Radiation Protection as a Member and Legal Counsel. Diane maintains licensure as an attorney in the states of Delaware and Maryland. In addition, she is licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Delaware. Diane is a member of the Delaware State Bar Association, the Kent County Bar Association, the Terry-Carey American Inn of Court and the Delaware Nurses Association.
In 2008 Diane assumed the role of In-House Counsel for Bayhealth Medical Center, Inc. where she is presently employed. Prior to joining Bayhealth, Diane served as a Director in the law firm of Elzufon Austin Reardon Tarlov and Mondell, P.A., located in Wilmington, Delaware where she worked primarily in the area of medical negligence defense. Following graduation from law school Diane had the privilege to complete judicial clerkships in both the Superior and Family Courts of the State of Delaware in addition to an internship with the Delaware Department of Justice, Office of the Attorney General.
Diane is a graduate of Holy Family University, located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where she obtained her baccalaureate degree in Nursing. Thereafter, she worked in acute care facilities in Pennsylvania primarily in the areas of Intensive and Cardiac Care where she obtained certification as a Critical Care Registered Nurse. Upon moving with her family to Delaware she worked as a staff nurse for Delaware Dermatology, P.A. During this time she obtained her Juris Doctorate degree, cum laude, from Widener University School of Law, where she was elected to the Moot Court Honor Society.
