Hungcheng Hank Chen is a Senior Medical Physicist at the Helen F. Graham Cancer Center of Christiana Care. His responsibilities include the calibration and quality assurance of radiotherapy machines, commissioning of treatment planning system, radioisotope handling for brachytherapy and radiation safety at department of Radiation Oncology.
Mr. Chen holds a Master’s degree in Radiological Sciences and a Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering. He started working as a medical physicist in Taiwan in 1992. After he had accumulated 10 years of working experience, a job opportunity at University of Pittsburgh Medical Center made him moved to Pittsburgh, PA, USA. In 2006, he went through the American Board of Radiology certification process and became board-certified in therapeutic radiologic physics. He moved to Delaware and started working at Christiana Care in 2008. Since then, he has been working collaboratively with doctors, nurses, dosimetrists and therapists for serving Delaware’s cancer patients.
Mr. Chen has been an appointed public member of New Castle County for The Authority on Radiation Protection since 2018.
