Committee Summaries
CERTIFICATION COMMITTEE
The Certification Committee is responsible for providing guidance to the Authority on Radiation Protection for Radiation Technologist & Technologist licensure matters, to assure quality and safety in the administration of ionizing radiation to human patients. The Committee maintains awareness of changes to clinical practice and credentialing examination content & policy, and reviews new proposals for clinical practice technology or educational programs.
NOMINATING COMMITTEE
The Nominating Committee provides guidance to the Authority on Radiation Protection by periodically renewing member status to assure timely re-appointment of existing members, and review of proposed nominees for consideration by the Governor's Office.
REGULATIONS TASK FORCE
The Regulations Task Force is an ad hoc group that identifies, prioritizes, reviews and revises the Delaware Radiation Control and Radiation Technologist/Technician Certification Regulations to assure that regulatory oversight for the use of ionizing radiation sources is reviewed periodically to address emerging issues and technology impacting radiation protection in theregulated community.
PUBLIC EDUCATION COMMITTEE
The Public Education Committee provides guidance to the Authority on Radiatin Protection by periodically reviewing information of value to the public, serving as editorial board for webpage content, and making recommendations for Authority action, as appropriate.
LEGISLATIVE LIASON COMMITTEE
The Legislative Liaison Committee provides guidance to the Authority on Radiation Protection by monitoring State of Delaware legislative developments and identifying issues of mutual interest to the Authority and elected officials.
